In 1917, the brand started using the slogan "It's Toasted" to inform consumers about the manufacturing method in which the tobacco is toasted rather than sun-dried, a process touted as making the cigarette's taste more desirable. This distinctive formula creates a cigarette that has a rich, thick tobacco taste that isn't bitter or harsh.
Toasting the leaves makes a huge difference in the flavor and texture of this fine product. Lucky Strike Blue cigarettes are a bold yet smooth and lush. The zest and essence are pure smoking pleasure, the blue color of this package symbolizes the feeling of tranquility that you'll feel as you deeply inhale this fine tobacco. When you open a fresh pack of cigarettes, you can actually get a hint of the toasted aroma that makes the Lucky Strike Blue taste like no other.

One of the oldest brands. I always smoke a carton before moving on to the next. I've tried this cig many times before in the past, but never bought two packs in a row. That should have rung a bell I guess. This is really an overhyped smoke - chemically tasting and a very poor Burley (or is it really toasted Virginias?) I won't be buying this ever again. Beautiful retro packs though.
